IAMCR2013 is ready to go!
The LOC are almost finished the last-minute preparations for IAMCR2013 and we are very excited about the week ahead. The all-important Irish weather is good today in Dublin, with some sun and clouds. Our Met office has indicated that for the most part, dry and settled conditions will continue to the weekend, with temperatures in the high teens or low twenties. However, do bring an umbrella - some showers are also forecast, a price we have to pay in Ireland to retain our 'Emerald Isle' title!
Transportation to and from hotels to the conference venue in the mornings and evenings will be provided only for those conference participants who have booked hotel accommodation through our partner website (excluding the Regency Hotel and DCU Campus accomodations which are in a walking distance).
We've come up with a way to communicate about each stream in the IAMCR 2013 Conference. Simply add the two or three digit slot code to the end of the conference hashtag #IAMCR13. We'll be compiling some of the best tweets at the end of the conference and publishing them on this blog.
E.g. Audience = #IAMCR13AUD, Comic Art = #IAMCR13COM

The core theme at the heart of this conference – Crises, ‘Creative Destruction’ and the Global Power and Communication Orders – carries many interesting implications and meanings, especially in the context of the current financial and economic turmoil.
